When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

Critiques
There is a good relationship between the negative space (and the texture) and the figure that helps to create a strong impression. The figure seems bold, sturdy, much like his environment. There is some good metaphorical play between his rock-hard abs and the stone on which he stands.
The only thing that I take issue with in this composition is the fact that the model is wearing underwear. I think that it contrasts too sharply with the natural feel of the rest of the picture, and I think he would have benefited from being entirely in the nude.
Then again, maybe he's not meant to be entirely one with his surroundings. There is also the model's comfort level to consider - perhaps he didn't want to be in the nude. I'm only speaking from an outsider's perspective. Regardless, I enjoy this piece, and it was a
